We spoke about how to incorporate the branch environments into the marketing photographs for their credit union brand. The Corvallis branch is architecturally interesting so there were many strong options compositionally right off the bat. I ended up working with Noble Hibbs and together we scouted planned and executed many thoughtful individual and group portraits. I think I surprised Noble and the team when we figured out how to manage the board of director portraits within their own meeting room. By Wednesday we had the location, photography team, talent, and the aircraft equipment all ready to go. Ed Hansen is an experienced creative director and writer and he was an excellent art director on the shoot. In a single, albeit long day, we executed 4 primary set-ups and each with 2 or more variations. The collaboration we shared and breadth and depth of our experiences allowed us to proceed efficiently as we methodically art directed several very strong advertising images. It required several scouts at many different locations and client approval to move forward. Each time I scouted I was always thinking ahead and considering the appropriate times to return to capture interesting activity and great lighting.
